Administration overview
The admin area is where you manage your Konekti organization: the people in it, what they are allowed to do, how they sign in, and which workspaces they can use.
You need a super admin account to use it. The first super admin is created when your Konekti organization is set up. After that, only an existing super admin can create others.
Entering admin mode
The admin area is a mode you switch into, not a separate login. You sign in as usual. When your are in a workspace, from the left menu, choose Enter admin mode to switch, and Leave admin mode when you want to go back to your normal work.
What you can manage
Admin mode has four areas:
- User management: the people in your organization, and the groups you use to organize them.
- Organization settings: how people sign in, including single sign-on with SAML 2.0.
- Workspaces: create workspaces and control who can use them.
- Audit logs: review the administrative changes that were made.
Two levels of access
Konekti give you two types of level access. One "Super admin" type and one for "normal" users.
- Super admin is set on the person and applies to the whole organization. A super admin manages users, groups, roles, workspaces, and sign-in settings, and automatically has full access to every workspace, with the full permissions
- Normal roles apply to everyone else. Every user can be assigned a role, which determines what they can do within a workspace and whether they have access to the admin panel, and what actions they can perform there.
