Audit logs
Audit logs is the record of administrative changes in your organization: who changed what, and when. Only super admins can open it.
What the log records
The log covers the administrative changes that affect who can do what:
- Groups being created, renamed, or deleted.
- Users being added to or removed from a group.
- Roles being created, changed, or deleted
It is a record of changes to access, rather than of everyday activity. Sign-ins are not recorded here.
Reading the log
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Actor | Who made the change |
| Actor type | Whether it was a person (Human) or Konekti itself (System) |
| Action | What happened, such as a role being created or someone being added to a group |
| Target | Who or what the change applied to |
| Target Type | Whether the target was a person (Human) or a Group |
| Workspace | The workspace involved, for changes about workspace access |
| Timestamp | When it happened |
The newest changes are at the top, and the log shows the 100 most recent changes.
Finding a change
Use Search logs to narrow the list down. The search covers the whole list, so you can look for a person, a group, a role, or a workspace name.
Downloading the log
Select Download to save the list as a CSV file. That is useful when you need to keep a copy of a change, or hand it to someone who does not work in Konekti.
Audit logs and the workspace Changelog
Konekti keeps two different histories, and it is worth knowing which one you want:
- Audit logs, here in the admin area, covers your organization: groups, roles, and who has access to which workspace.
- The Changelog inside a workspace covers the work done in that workspace: the objects, activities, and processes that people built and changed.
So if you are asking "who gave this person access?", you want the Audit logs. If you are asking "who changed this object?", you want the workspace Changelog.
