Combined Source

The combined source in Konekti enables merging tables from one or more sources using join and union operations. Use this when constructing objects or activities that require data from multiple tables. An important aspect of combined sources is that they are reusable across both objects and activities, allowing centralized logic to be defined once and applied consistently throughout your models. For straightforward operations, the simple editor provides all that's required. For more elaborate transformations, you can rely on writing SQL code in the advanced editor.

Use Cases

Common scenarios include:

  • Activity timestamp and name are stored in separate tables (e.g., CDHDR and CDPOS in SAP).
  • Object instances are split across multiple tables.
  • Object attributes exist in related tables that need to be merged with the main object table.

Editor Options

Start with the simple editor for most transformations. It supports switching to the advanced editor, and all changes will carry over.

Note: Once you make changes in the advanced editor, you cannot return to the simple editor.
